How to reset a homepage/toolbar in your browser

When getting B1 through our partners you might receive offers which change your homepage, search provider or install a toolbar to your browser. However, you are always provided with options to decline those offers during installation. In case you agree to install and change homepage and/or search provider and/or install toolbar, the offer is installed into your browser. If you want to change your browser settings please follow next steps:

 

 

 

How to reset homepage in Google Chrome

 

1. Copy this URL into your address bar: chrome://settings/homePageOverlay

 

 

2. Change the address from http://search.b1.org to desired one. You can also choose a “Use the New Tab page” as your homepage.

 


 

3. Click the “OK” button.

 

 

How to reset new tab (empty page) in Google Chrome

 

1. Copy this URL into your address bar: chrome://extensions/

 

 

2. Find the “Improved Search” with blue B1 icon and uncheck “Enabled”.

 

 

 

How to reset homepage in Firefox

 
1. Open Firefox browser and hit the “Firefox” button in the upper left corner of the window. Сlick “Options”.
 

 
2. Make sure that the “General” tab is chosen.
 

 
3. Type a desired address for your homepage into “Home Page” input field and click “OK” button.
 

 
4. You can also click on the “Restore to Default” button and your homepage will be changed to the one defined as default by your browser.
 

 

 

How to reset homepage in Internet Explorer

 
1. Open Internet Explorer browser and click on the “Tools” button. Choose “Internet options” .
 

 
2. Make sure that the “General” tab is chosen. Enter a desired address for your homepage into “Home Page” input field and click “OK” button.
 

 

3. You can also click on the “Use default” button and your homepage will be changed to the one defined as default by your browser.

 

 

 

 

How to completely remove B1 Toolbar

 

1. Click on the “Start” button, type “uninstall” in Search input field and choose “Uninstall a program”.

 

 

2. Choose “Improved search – B1 Toolbar” and click “Uninstall”.

 

 

3. In case you cannot find “Improved search – B1 Toolbar” option on the list or encounter other problems download our Uninstall tool http://pub.b1.org/BIN/UninstallB1Toolbar.exe. Click “Run” button in the dialogue box which will appear upon opening the file. B1 Toolbar will be removed automatically.
