On 13 November 2012 B1 Free Archiver was reviewed by Margie Smeer, editor at Software Informer. Surprised by our tool’s speed and efficiency she had nothing to do but give B1 Free Archiver a 5-star Editor’s Pick Award!
The vast majority of open-source applications prove to be better than other paid programs. The same rule also applies to B1 Free Archiver. Although its name might suggest otherwise, this program is an open-source archiver that impresses through its features. It is able to extract contents from all the popular archive formats. But it only creates B1 and ZIP archives.
I must admit I didn’t expect too much of this application, as many similar tools are available but aren’t good enough for the job. B1 Free Archive managed to change my opinion. It comes with a modern user-interface that is not crowded with unnecessary buttons. Furthermore, both the program and its user-interface can be customized by accessing the program settings.
I was a little disappointed by the program’s inability to create other archive formats than B1 (program’s specific format) and ZIP. It is a quite promising application and I hope it will come with features in its future versions.
B1 Free Archiver provides fast archiving and extracting speeds, saving users a lot of time. I strongly recommend you to try this application, as it stands as a great alternative to other similar programs that are more popular.
